2009 Bible Reading Schedule
Everybody ought to love the Bible. Everybody ought to read the Bible. Everybody! It is God's Word. It holds the solution to life, It tells about the best friend mankind has ever had, the noblest, kindest, truest, man that ever walked this earth. It is the most beautiful story ever told. It is the best guide to human conduct ever known. It gives a meaning, a glow, a victory, a joy, a destiny, and a glory to life.
Every Christian should read the Bible. The Bible is the book we live by. Reading the Bible is the means by which we learn, and keep fresh in our minds, the ideas that mold our lives. Our lives are a product of our thoughts. To live right, we need to think right.
Thoughts have power over our lives by being often in our minds. We need to read the Bible frequently and regularly, so that God's thoughts may be frequently and regularly in our minds. That His thoughts may become our thoughts. That our ideas may become conformed to God's ideas; so that we may be transformed in to God's own image, and be made fit for eternal companionship with our Creator.
Reading the Bible is the one habit, which, if done in the right spirit, more than any other habit, will make a Christian what he or she ought to be in every way.

The Pocket Testament League has, for 114 years, motivated thousands of Christians to read, carry and share the Word of God. Started as the vision of a teenage girl named Helen Cadbury in 1893, The Pocket Testament League provides free Christian outreach ministry resources to help empowering believers develop a lifestyle of personal evangelism.
